Again, Never change a winning team: Audi confirms, for the 2011 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the pilots realized that last year's historic hat-trick with the R15.
The car # 1 is for the winners of last year, or Timo Bernhard, Romain Dumas and Mike Rockenfeller. Veterans Dindo Capello, Tom Kristensen and Allan Mc Nish goes # 2, # 3 and the R18 is entrusted to the younger riders: Marcel Fässler, André Lotterer and Benoit Treluyer, who finished the race in second place.
As for the opening race of ILMC, or the 12 Hours of Sebring will be run with two R15, marking the end of his career from the changing fortunes of this prototype. The two teams will, once again, Bernhard / Dumas / Rockenfeller for the # 1 Capello / Kristensen / McNish for # 2.
Changes, however, for ILMC: for the entire season the drivers will Kristensen / McNish on a R18 and Bernhard / Fässler other, with the Swiss replacing Dindo Capello. In addition to Road Atlanta, Audi will be able to count on Dumas, Porsche pilot house.
